Giving Rotary Tattoo Machines A Bizzzz For Their Money

As a tattoo artist, you’ve probably wondered at some point whether you should try using rotary tattoo machines. Before you make a decision on whether or not to try one, it’s of course a great idea to do a bit of research and even try one if you have the chance if a fellow tattoo artist has one for you to try.

It is a wide held belief by many tattoo artists that coil machines are the most common machines used in the tattoo industry, and there are generally good factors for doing so. For one, coil machines are adjustable, allowing the artist a bit more room for personalization as opposed to rotary tattoo machines, and most tattoo artists find coil machines easier to use and easier to apply tattoos inks with.

Rotary tattoo machines have an electric motor providing power to the needle, and this electric motor is actually lighter in weight than electromagnetic circuit motors used in coil machines. Many tattoo artists that use rotary tattoo machines find this allows them to complete more work in a shorter amount of time because the machine is so much lighter that they don’t feel their arm tiring out and meaning that they can apply more tattoos inks without breaking. Many tattoo artists would love to be able to use a machine for longer without having to take any breaks or go at a slower or lighter pace.

One of the really nice aspects of a rotary tattoo machine is that they are so quiet compared to coil machines. There are clients that come into a tattoo shop and quickly chicken out and won’t go through with getting a tattoo and having even just a dot of tattoos inks on them because they hear that buzzing of a tattoo gun, and they suddenly have flashbacks of the sounds of drills at a dentist filling a cavity. For some reason that buzzing sound heard from a coil machine terrifies many people, and some people quickly back out as soon as they hear that buzzing sound approaching them. Additionally, not only does this help save business that’s walking in the door for their first tattoo, it also helps mean that since the experience is more pleasant for them, they’re more likely to come back! This is almost enough reason in itself to give them a whirl….or should we say, a “bizzzzzzzz.”

If you want to try out rotary tattoo machines, visit ToxicTwit.com to find ones at a great price that are extremely well made. ToxicTwit.com also sells a variety of tattoos inks, kits, and other tattoo machines as well. All of this is offered with great prices, prompt and reliable service, and quality!

In Memory of DABZ Benefit Concert BY Tacoma Redd, G-Men & Falls River Friends – Money Raised will Benefit Toronto General Hospital?s Transplant Wing

In Memory of DABZ Benefit Concert BY Tacoma Redd, G-Men & Falls River Friends – Money Raised will Benefit Toronto General HospitalÂ?s Transplant Wing

Toronto, Ontario (PRWEB) April 13, 2005

On May 1, 2005, Indie rockers Tacoma Redd, G-Men and Falls River Fiends will unite for a benefit concert at The Bovine Sex Club in Toronto, Ontario. May 1 marks the one year anniversary of the death of well-loved guitar player Ron “Dabz” Boudreau-McLellan, a close friend of many in the indie hard rock scene and a former member of all three of the bands performing.

All money raised by the showÂ?s $ 5 cover will be donated to the Toronto General Hospital’s Transplant Wing, the place that took great care of Dabz while he was alive. Doors are at 9 pm with Falls River Fiends @10:30, G- Men @ 11:15 and Tacoma Redd @ 12. Way Cool Tattoos will be providing free tattoo and piercing gift certificates as prizes for a raffle in which the money raised will also benefit the Transplant Wing.

Tacoma ReddÂ?s high-energy live performances mixed with catchy radio friendly songs makes this band one to watch. The band draws influence from many different genres and styles of music from classic rock like AC/DC and Cheap Trick to bands like Foo Fighters and Taking Back Sunday. Formed in 2003 with Dabz, Tacoma Redd made their long awaited live debut in July 2004 after Dabz requested that they carry on as a 4-piece. The band is currently recording their debut CD and will spend most of 2005 performing live.

After 11 years with Punk Hardcore terrorists, Armed and Hammered, Mopa Dean left the band and formed The G-Men in 2002 as collaboration between himself and Dabz. The G-Men are spreading the news of punk rock and roll gospel with full frontal assault tunes. Two studios, one U.S./Canadian tour and a fallen comrade later, the G-Men just released Up The Dose, their second on October32nd Records.

October32nd’s, Falls River Fiends, led by bassist/vocalist Troy Sinister (The Sinisters), is no longer together, however, members of Tacoma Redd will be backing Troy up for this event. Falls River Fiends has had many members, including Dabz, Stacy Rat (Red Light Rippers) and Dave Kiner (ex Citizen Kill, The Ugly Things). Snarling vocals, hard core sounds, nothing over two minutes, Falls River Fiends are pure punk rawk.

Dabz, the common tread between all three bands, had been told since he was very young that he would never live past the age of 20 due to Cystic Fibrosis, however, he made it to 43 years old. His extended life or “borrowed time” as he referred to it, was given even more time in 2000 when he successfully underwent a double lung transplant which seemed to give him a new lease on life. Sadly, in May 2003 his body rejected the foreign lungs and after many long and hard illnesses, he passed away at Toronto General Hospital on May 1, 2004.

The money raised at the benefit concert will go towards maintenance, upkeep and improvement of the facilities in the transplant wing and towards research to ensure that transplant recipients will never again have to worry about their bodies rejecting the transplanted organ. The event organizers would also like to see money given to the physiotherapy room in the transplant wing due to the fact that without the proper exercise and physical preparation, some patients may not live through their transplant operation. It is important that this facility stay properly maintained and equipped. The evening will also stress the importance of signing an organ donor card.

For those who knew Dabz, this will be an unforgettable evening of memory and celebration of his life. For everyone else it is a chance to enjoy some great rockÂ?n roll bands and donate to a worthy cause.

For those unable to attend the event, donations can be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (http://www.ccff.ca) in Ron Boudreau-McLellan’s name.

Could I get in trouble for home tattooing a 16 year old without permission? Not charging money. UK?

A friend of mine is asking me to give her a tattoo using a professional tattoo kit. I’ve done plenty before so im experienced, but I just want to know if I could get in alot of trouble for doing so. Legally, not minding parents getting slightly pissed off. I won’t be charging money for doing so and its all done safely and hygienically.
What do you think?
Thank you :)
Another thing to maybe point out is that the parent has told her “do what you like, you’re 16. But im not giving permission at a parlour”. Is it only the parent who can bring legal issues into play?
